Dear friends, marathon runners and supporters, here is all the information you need.

information for the 7K and the half marathon at Nieuwpoort and for the races in Ypres!
Abandoning the race early: if for some reason you have to abandon the race, please give your entry number to the nearest marshall when you leave the course.
Accompanying cyclists: cyclists are allowed to ride behind the athlete from km 12 onwards!!
Arrival: market place of Ypres, just in front of the magnificent "Lakenhalle" (with the Flanders Fields-museum)
Bridges: you run four times along a smaller road under a bridge: at km 8 "Schoorbakkebrug", at km. 18, "Hoge Brug" - Diksmuide, at km 28 "Driegrachten" - Houthulst and km 33 "Steenstraete" - Langemark.
Changing-rooms:
at departure: at fish mine at Nieuwpoort-stad
at arrival: Changing- rooms with showers are situated at the college (entrance via Menenstraat), 300 metres from arrival.
Departure: at 10.00 AM at the fish mine (Vismijn, Kaai) at Nieuwpoort-stad. Exit 3 on highway E40.
Entry fee:
- 20€/£20/25$ if you pay before 20 August (send with the entry form),
- 25€/£25$ on 09 September (limited).
- 15€/£15/15$ for participants of 2011 who entered and payed before 1 august.

Km indication: 2-4-5-6-8-10-15-20-21,1-25-30-35-36-37-38-39-40-41-42km. The circuit has been measured by officials from the "Vlaamse Atletiek Liga".
Luggage: handed over at the changing rooms at Nieuwpoort-stade.
Arrival: at the "Lakenhalle" in Ypres (finish line).
Photos: we try to take a photo of each finisher.
Prizes: everyone gets a medal at the finish line, a T-shirt with our logo on and a small consolation prize. You can collect this consolation prize just opposite the finish line, outside the "Lakenhalle". Don't expect large cash or other prizes from us (but: sports bags, regional beers, an extra T-shirt from the sponsor, running socks etc).
Podium: the first three ladies and men overall race result and the first three ladies and men veterans are invited on the podium at approximately 15h30. Where? In the foyer of the "Lakenhalle".
Start: at 10.00 AM at the fish mine (Vismijn, Kaai) at Nieuwpoort-stad (see departure).
Time limit: the municipalities have imposed a time limit of 5hrs15. If you run slower than you run at your own risk.
Traffic: the course is meant to be traffic free, but despite our best efforts it's still possible that local residents drives on the course with their car, so please always be vigilant!
Transport: Only for those who pay before 20 August: there is transport from Ypres (Ieper) railway station to the start in Nieuwpoort-stad. Busses leave at 7h30-7h50. Price 7€/£7.
Water stations: water in 33cl bottles at km. 5-10-15-20-25-29-33-36-40. Wet sponges will also be available at some places. Please throw the empty bottles in the designated "flessenvangers" (bins).
Who: Our organisation, In Flanders Fields-marathon (IFFm), is a "not for profit organisation". Our aim is to organise sport events, both for recreation and competition, primarily at the Westhoek in Flanders, Belgium.
